** Bakery Sales Associate**

You're all that - and more - which makes you perfect-as-pie for a **Bakery Associate** position with Dierbergs. In this entry-level role, your responsibilities will include:

* Stocking, packaging, ordering and food handling...all aspects of maintaining the bakery

* Taking customer special orders over the phone and in person

* Embracing a higher level of responsibility as you deal with all aspects of the department

* Learning about bakery products and being able to communicate your knowledge

* Making sure our display cases are well-stocked and look showroom-worthy-after all, it's Dierbergs, and our customers have fine taste

****What you need to succeed****

* A friendly, customer service-oriented personality to provide best-in-class service that Dierbergs is known for

* Basic math and computer skills

* Good penmanship and steady hands (no baking is involved, but you'll write messages on cakes)

* Willingness to take on more responsibility as needed

* Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (refrigerator and freezer)

* Ability to follow safety and food-handling guidelines to keep the work area safe and clean

* Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays

****Physical Requirements****

* Lifting & Carrying - Up to 35 lbs occasionally

* Pushing & Pulling- Up to 15 lbs force occasionally

* Occasional - Sit, kneel, stoop, squat, climb, overhead reach, & power grip

* Frequent - Stand, walk, head turn, handling, side reach, & pinch

* Constant - Forward reach, grasp, finger manipulation, & feel
